This
is everything that i have learnt,
about my journey 'here'...
[not
very much! but perhaps
enough.]
We are [essentially] spiritual creatures, and this life is allegorical
[i believe].
Dictionary
definition:
allegory
· n. (pl. allegories) a story, poem, or picture which
can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning.
– DERIVATIVES allegorist n. allegorization (also
allegorisation) n. allegorize (also allegorise) v.
– ORIGIN ME: from OFr. allegorie, via L. from Gk
allUgoria, from allos ‘other’ + -agoria ‘speaking’.
Are we merely creatures, in a random universe?
Or are we a part of [a specific] creation?
This is what i believe...
A significant number of people, believe that alongside this physical
reality, there exists also, a corresponding spiritual reality.
And, that these two realities somehow, meld together.
I am a person, who also shares this view.
I believe that in this shroud [in this body], we all, also, travel a
spiritual
journey [here].
[whether we can recognise this, or not!]
I believe that much of [an underlying spiritual] reality is hidden from
us, as if
being behind a 'veil'.
Behind a 'veil', in the same way that [it is stated in the Bible] the
presence of God resided in
the Holy of Holies, behind a
veil, in the tabernacle of the congregation of Israel.
Purposely, it seems that the essence of God [and reality?], is meant to be beyond
our comprehension, and understanding.
Clearly, there is much that is out of our 'sight', and beyond our
understanding.
This is by design.
Ecclesiastes
3:11
¶He hath made every thing
beautiful in his time: also
he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the
work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Why?
I don't think that any man, can answer with certainty, as to why.
But i do believe that these things will be revealed to us.
Supposition: I believe that in a previous age, mankind,
then, ...had a direct
knowledge of God.
That we do not have direct
knowledge of God in this age, may have something to do with God giving
to men, as individuals, unencumbered
choice???
And thereby allowing
us, as individuals, to make errors, ......for
whatever purpose!
Perhaps, for the purpose of authentic
spiritual redemption???
As i say, supposition.
To follow this line of thought a little
further read,
Romans, chapter 3
It
is all just a 'story',
....for children.
"God
's in his heaven:
All 's right with the world."
Robert Browning. 1812-1890
And here is yet another
allegory about, LIFE...
God is in 'heaven', and God resides in his 'Temple' - in 'heaven'.
In the Temple of the Most High God.
Traditionally [it is said], SATAN covets God's position.
AND, SATAN covets God's place
of residence!
...which is the Temple of the Most High God!
Reputedly, SATAN is a demon.
Now, even if you do not believe in demons...
What do demons traditionally
try to do, when they 'meet' men?
"He
has the Devil in him!"
....this used to be a common English language expression, used to
describe a very angry, or irrational, or wicked, person.
Another allegory for this life?
Demons [traditionally] try to take possession of men's bodies.
There are two questions we now need to ask ourselves...
- How can this 'displacement' be achieved? [through 'inducements'?
through promises of gain? see Matthew
4:9]
- Why does SATAN seek this 'displacement'? [to what purpose? to
what advantage is it, to him?]
And, there is an important third question,
IF this was a 'situation' of reality , do you think that you
would allow SATAN
[a demon], to
'displace' God, ....in your 'reality' ?!
And what would be your 'price' ? [smile]
Only you can provide an answer, for yourself!
Hint...
Where is it, that [the spirit of] God is said to reside again?
Genesis
3:22
¶And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to
know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also
of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden,
to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the
garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way,
to keep the way of the tree of life.
Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set
before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life,
that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest
obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy
life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land
which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to
Jacob, to give them.
1
Chronicles 28:9
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve
him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD
searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the
thoughts: if thou seek him,
he will be found of thee; but if thou
forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
Isaiah 66:1
¶Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my
footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things
have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him
that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Matthew 6:9
¶After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in
heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
This life.....
God does with us, as he will.
The God of our creation made us, and that is his right, to do with us,
as he will.
Isaiah
29:15
Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and
their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who
knoweth us?
16 Surely your turning of things
upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work
say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say
of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
What the Bible states again, and again, is
that we are in fact, all
God's
spiritual children.
All mankind.
And we are all
precious to God.
And it seems that God has a purpose for each one of us, beyond the
scope of this physical life.
Ideally, our God would have us, individually, choose to acknowledge him
as our spiritual
father.
again...
Deuteronomy
30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this
day against you, that I have set
before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life,
that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the
LORD thy God, and that thou mayest
obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy
life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land
which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to
Jacob, to give them.
And yet if we are wilful 'children', and do not acknowledge God, God
does not
interfere in our lives [to
our detriment, ever].
Rather, [i
believe that] he lets us 'get on with it'.
Allowing us to do silly things, allowing us to behave 'immaturely' [and
reap the consequences!], here in our physical life.
But with the concern of a parent, if we have been making some
particularly bad choices, he may unobtrusively nudge our
conscience occasionally - perhaps through our dreams?
That is my own perception.
And he may even unobtrusively make us aware of some other
choices, that are available to us.
But always, our
choices here in this life, are ours
to
make.
Perhaps we are, in a fashion, 'going to school' here???
Perhaps [even] in our wilful, 'childish' nature, we will learn
something useful from our many mistakes!
I believe that...
Yahweh, the God of
the Old Testament Bible is,
period
Do you want to prove this?
That may be difficult for you, or not so.
Hebrews
11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to
God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.
But, if you possess a heart
that can listen quietly...
Well then, the next time something good happens to you, pray to God
[sincerely].
Thank God [sincerely], for the blessing received.
God will again, respond to you in some way.
God's word is true to us...
"...if thou seek him,
he
will be found of thee."
I believe this, and i believe that...
The man Jesus was, [and is], a real historical person.
Jesus is the Son of our God, Yahweh.
Jesus was crucified, and as a man, he did die.
John
3:16
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 Corinthians 3:16
¶Know ye not that ye
are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy;
for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
18 ¶Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth
to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it
is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that
they are vain.
Jeremiah 9:23
¶Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man
glory in his riches:
24 But let him that
glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth
me, that I am the
LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment,
and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight,
saith the LORD.
25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all
them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and
Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the
wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house
of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
Jeremiah 13:16
Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before
your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for
light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the
name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds
were evil.
Jesus did rise from the dead.
Jesus is alive.
But today his 'manifestation' is changed...
Isaiah
9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Look at this world, in 2007.
How does SATAN 'come into this world' ?
By what 'vector' ?
Choose, not to be that
vehicle!
