Firstly....
The essential difference between Christian, and muslim 'belief' is,

A table of comparison...
between the traditional
characterisation of Biblical characters,
and the ISLAMIC / Koranic characterisation of Biblical characters.

Biblical character
Attributes / Function,
as the Biblical character

ISLAMIC / Koranic character Attributes / Function,
as the ISLAMIC /
Koranic character

The God of Jacob [and Abraham, and Isaac]
The Most High God / sponsor, protector of Jacob's line, and of [spiritual] Israel
SATAN protector of Jew's, and of Israel, and source of everything evil, and sponsor of all things un-ISLAMIC in this world
SATAN
adversary, destroyer, deceiver
Allah The Most High God / sponsor, protector of Hagar, and her son Ishmael's line, and of all devout muslim's
Messiah [Jesus, the Christ]
The Lamb of God / God's offered atonement sacrifice for mankind / mankind's spiritual redeemer, came and lived as a man, died on the cross, was resurrected by the power of God, will return as KING OF KINGS,

".....the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear."
Revelation 13:8, 9 ,

"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
John 1:29 ,

"And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, ** God will provide himself a lamb  for a burnt offering...."
Genesis 22:7, 8

the Dajjal, the muslim Antichrist a leader of, and defender of Jews, and of Israel,
SATAN's 'end-time' agent on Earth,
will succeed in turning some muslims away from following Allah / ISLAM,
will claim to be divine,
he will first appear between Syria and Iraq,
will be killed by the muslim Jesus
Antichrist / the 'Beast' SATAN's 'end-time' agent on Earth,
will claim to be divine

al-Mahdi, the muslim 'saviour' subdues all opposition to ISLAMIC rule on Earth, removes all injustice from the world,
*** Mahdi will be seen riding on a white horse,
"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer." Revelation 6:2
[this Revelation 6:2, Bible verse is attributed by [at least] one respected muslim scholar as indeed, as describing al-Mahdi.],
al-Mahdi is the quintessential Jihadist warrior!
see...  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7255602.stm
the False Prophet
subordinate to the 'end-time' Antichrist,
"And I beheld another beast.....and he had two horns like a lamb," Revelation 13:11 ,
"...causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast,"
Revelation 13:12 ,
"...and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." Revelation 13:15

muslim Jesus on return to Earth removes Jizya 'tax' [paid by all non-muslims, in muslim jurisdictions] i.e. now non-muslims within any muslim jurisdiction will have a choice to convert to ISLAM, or be killed!, is an 'enforcer' of ISLAMIC faith, is a miraculous healer, is not a Jewish messiah, is not the 'first-born' Son of God, did not die on a cross, was not crucified, was not resurrected by Allah, was whisked away to heaven by Allah, to return to Earth at the 'end-time', on his return is subordinate to al-Mahdi, is a destroyer of the polytheistic Christian church at the 'end-time', at his return is 'sanctified' to kill all Christians who still reject Allah / ISLAM.
Abraham, Sarah, Jacob [Israel], Moses, King David, Jesus <--- some key Biblical characters, associated with God's plan, for the spiritual redemption of all mankind

Abraham, Hagar, Ishmael, Moses, King David, Jesus
<--- were all devout, righteous, muslims

Comment:
Is a personal belief in the veracity of Biblical prophecy being 'objective', is it being rational even!?
Good question!

I can only say that i feel that people should examine the evidence [read the Bible!], and judge,
for themselves.

For example, view
these verses  from the book of the prophet Isaiah.
Many Bible students feel that many of these Isaiah verses refer to the expected Messiah of Israel.
Many Christians believe that many of these verses readily apply to the circumstance and life of the person of Jesus.
And significantly, Jesus did claim to be the Messiah of Israel [John 4:25,26].
So, if these Isaiah verses are applicable to Jesus, they would tend to support Biblical prophecy [in this example] as having some validity. Yes?

Comment:
Consider this, when assessing these attributes assigned by ISLAMIC tradition;
Whether any of the predicted events [in this column] will actually occur is suspect, being that ISLAM is a 'religious' cult with the firm doctrine that regards the use of
deception by its followers, as a religious obligation [!], if the consequence of deception is in any way advantageous to ISLAM, and injurious to the power of non-muslims.
see, Taqiyya
For myself, all 'end-time' ISLAMIC predictions must be viewed as extremely suspect.
e.g. I regard the example of the muslim treatment of the account of Jesus life as
clearly a 'manufactured' fabrication by muslims, so as to make it fit with the 'needy', weak, and corrupt theology of ISLAM itself.
Building falsehood upon falsehood [so long as it is advantageous to ISLAM], appears to be an OK thing to do within ISLAM.
And regarding ISLAMIC 'end-time' predictions; Clearly, an ISLAMIC Eschatology, that results in [more] willing submissive muslims for Allah is paramount!
Objective TRUTH in that cause, seems a secondary consideration.

** Yet, some will always close their eyes, and ears to truth, and declare that there is no God, and that the Bible is phooey, and has no [spiritual] message for mankind at all.
see... Luke 16:27-31  "......If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead."
see... Allergory
see... "....the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel."

*** The real Messiah will also be seen to ride on a white horse....
Revelation 19:11
¶And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

There are some striking and conflicting parallels in this table above.

Why is this?

Take care, all of you, who would 'call on the name of the LORD' !!!
And be not deceived by what must come.

And yet we are told by Jesus [the real one!] that many will be deceived before that day.

Matthew 24:11
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Matthew 24:21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
23  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25  Behold, I have told you before.
26  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28  For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32  ¶Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

'When the enemy shall come in like a flood...'

I have no idea when 'the day of the LORD' is due, but we are told the prelude to his return will not be pretty.
We are told by God's WORD that these very severe 'troubles' [at 'the end of the world'], will come upon this earth very quickly.
We are forewarned [in a number of Bible passages], that when they do come, these events will come, as though they were a 'flood'.
[.......a suggestion, and an 'obvious' guess, and only a guess, watch developments in Lebanon for the 'start'.]

Isaiah 17:12
¶Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13  The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
14  And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
20  And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
21  As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

Jeremiah 46:7
Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers?
8  Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
9  Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow.
10  For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Daniel 9:26
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Update, 2007-Nov-07,
"....which make a noise like the noise of the seas;.....that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters"

"Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers?.....Egypt riseth up like a flood,"
"....and the end thereof shall be with a flood,"

I have just come upon this 'Farewell Israel', DVD promo.
Note the eerie description and fit, in the opening scenes of this DVD promo, with the Bible verses above.
In the opening scenes of this promo, the President of Iran, Ahmadinejad declares to a vast and animated crowd,

"The ocean of rage of the people of the region will surge and eradicate the Zionist regime."

As it was in Noah's day, many in this world will be caught unawares...

Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

We are told that, as in the days of Noah, so shall be the days, before Jesus return.
And ominously, we are told that the earth in Noah's day, was 'filled with violence', and that this violence came through 'corrupted' men...

Genesis 6:11
¶The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12  And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13  ¶And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Psalms 11:4
¶The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5  The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

We are urged by [the real] Jesus, not to be deceived, by what must come, before his return.
If an actual muslim, claiming to be 'Jesus', appears on the scene [i have some doubts], the muslim 'Jesus' will come, before the return of our LORD!
First comes al-Mahdi, then another muslim 'cheer-leader' will 'appear', claiming to be Jesus.
[muslim tradition suggests the muslim 'Jesus' will 'appear', in Damascus.]
al-Mahdi comes to deceive muslims, the muslim 'Jesus' comes [principally, i believe] to deceive many of us non-muslims, who call ourselves Christians.
And even [the real] Jesus said, that it would be a 'wickedly' good plan, of deception!!!

Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2 Thessalonians 2:8

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Do not trust in him who is a deceiver, who builds falsehood, upon falsehood.

But trust in the LORD our God, our redeemer, who is faithful and true.

Revelation 19:11
¶And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

Proverbs chapter 8

When he comes, the muslim 'Jesus' will be a 'banner', to call to him, those who have been deceived.

When Jesus the Christ arrives, returns, we are transformed,    .....wherever we may be.

1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Isaiah 26:19

Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

1 Thessalonians 4:15
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

And to all who love God, be assured, God does know who you are.
God does know each one of us, intimately.

1 Corinthians 8:3
But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

How this is possible, i do not have knowledge.
That this is true, i believe i do have knowledge.

Luke 12:6
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7  But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Redemption

Please indulge me for a moment...

Isaiah 12:1
¶And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Jeremiah 23:5
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6  In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Dictionary definition:
redemption
· n.
1 the action of redeeming someone or something, or of being redeemed.
2 a thing that saves someone from error or evil.
– DERIVATIVES redemptive adj.
– ORIGIN ME: from OFr., from L. redemptio(n-), from redimere (see redeem).

redemption, "a thing that saves someone from error..."

Genesis 1:26
¶And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion.......over all the earth......
27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Revelation 12:3

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5  And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6  And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7  And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8  And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Note the...   "....and his angels...."

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Now,    .....the Bible tells us that,
....God is [a] spirit.

Angels and demons also, are spirits.

Mankind is [clothed in a shroud of] flesh, but we are informed that mankind, is made in God's 'image'.
.....and, God is spirit.

And, God's spirit dwells within men, within each one of us.

1 Corinthians 3:16
¶Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Now, read those three Bible passages above [Genesis 1:26, 27 ; Revelation 12:3-10 ; John 14:6], again.

Jesus [our redeemer] said, "...no man cometh [....try, 'returns' in place of 'cometh' ] unto the Father, but by me."
John said, ".....the Devil, and Satan....was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Read between the lines.

Who inhabits this earth?
Who was given dominion here?
And in their dominion, on earth, who was it that turned against God [against God's spirit of truth, and instead learned to love a lie]?

Paul states it like this...
Romans 3:10
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13  Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14  Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15  Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16  Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17  And the way of peace have they not known:
18  There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Who is it that needs a spiritual  redeemer [i.e. a messiah]?

It is mankind .
mankind, the spirit [of God] in-dwelling creature, who has free choice,
i.e. the creature who is the 'host', for the spirit [of God],
who made a mistake [in believing SATAN's lies!    ....the 'original sin'?] ?
mankind, the creature still now, shrouded in flesh,
and the creature who continues to make lots, and lots, of mistakes in his, 'dominion', here.
the creature who, because of his own vanity, was deceived.

Isaiah 47:4
As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

Romans 3:19
¶Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20  Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Through scripture, [through his WORD] the Most High God has told the story, the circumstance, of mankind.
About our journey towards life.
Do you really still think that this, what we have in this world, is 'life'?
I know that i used to believe that too.

John 10:9
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

See also, "....walk before me, and be thou perfect."

The account, of man's journey [towards life], given within the Bible.
Its a great story.
It is our story.

Isaiah 59:1
¶Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3  For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4  None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

In the verse above, note again the word  'separated' , in the context of this exploration of our spiritual redemption.

The story of mankind, told in the Bible, is the story of our special relationship with our LORD, our spiritual father.

John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

We [mankind] imagine that we are such clever, clever children [of this earth].
All of man's knowledge is vanity.
What do we know!

Isaiah 35:4
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5  ¶Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Though with a  certainty  we [mankind] believe that we 'are' [self-existent], the truth is that we are not this flesh [alone].
We are spirit beings, spirit [which is somehow] locked for a time within this shroud of flesh.

Numbers 27:16
Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

After we die, when this flesh returns to the earth [which our flesh is!], our spirit will also return to that place, from whence it came.
Are you ready for that journey, back 'home' ?

I believe, that it is God's intention to separate himself from all that is spiritually evil, within us.
And if we are spirit beings, what will survive, what will remain, if what is in our heart is evil?

Psalms 5:4
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Daniel 12:1
¶And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

So as the saying goes, "Be good, for goodness sake!"
[Smile]

I wish that all mankind, would read the WORD of God, meditate on its words, pray to God, and come to see that [though we are clothed in flesh] it is a  spiritual  journey that all mankind is making, here.

Lamentations 3:32
But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33  For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
34  To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

'....all the prisoners of the earth' ?

Isaiah 45:11
¶Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
12  I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
13  I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
14  Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.
15  Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
16  They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
17  But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18  For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19  I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
20  ¶Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21  Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23  I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
24  Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
25  In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

'.....the LORD of hosts.' ?

Seek your God.

We mankind, we are all, God's children.
Is it so surprising to believe that our spiritual father  loves us  all, dearly?

Psalms 103:10
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11  For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13  Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14  For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Luke 15:2
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

3  And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
4  What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5  And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6  And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7  I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

John 1:5
¶And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11  He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Joel 2:32
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered:.....

Is it so difficult to believe the TRUTH, and to walk in the LIGHT?
Yes it is!
Because we have this world in our heart.

Romans 3:11
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

John 12:35
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36  While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
37  ¶But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
38  That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39  Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40  He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

Isaiah 1:2
¶Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

Jeremiah 4:22
For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Me too!
I am guilty.

And i am forgiven.
.......because i accept the righteousness of God.

I am forgiven.
Because i accept God's gift of atonement, through Jesus blood sacrifice.

What was that definition of  redemption  again?

redemption, "a thing that saves someone from error..."

Perhaps some will suggest that i am the one in error?
.....and the person in deepest need of redemption [for even suggesting this spiritual scenario / hypothesis!] ?
Being in error, delusional even!
[Smile]

I am just a man.
But i know that God loves me.

Joel 2:28
¶And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Back to that schemer, SATAN [and his agents]....

Psalms 55:16
¶As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
17  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18  He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19  God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
20  He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21  The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
22  Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23  But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

Muslims have disdain for Jesus claim of being messiah, and deny Jesus is the 'Christ' [the foretold messiah of Israel].
Muslims have instead, 'grabbed' the historical figure of Jesus for themselves, describing Jesus as [simply] a  muslim  prophet.
And muslims vehemently** deny the claim of Jesus, of his oneness with God.
[** to the point of killing [at every opportunity] all those who endorse such a claim.]

John 4:22
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25  The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26  Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

John 10:30

I and my Father are one.

1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:1
¶Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Jeremiah 31:33
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Muslim scholars and clerics insist that much of the traditional Jewish and Christian Bible has been maliciously altered [by,    ....err, Jews and Christians, of course!] so as to remove [their] Allah's true and intended influence within its pages [and to also purposefully remove many, many, prophetic references to Allah's last true Prophet!].
[Comment: And 'obviously', the Dead Sea Scrolls are a Jewish archaeological fabrication, to fool the world into thinking that today's 'ancient' Jewish Bible is an authentic document.  :)))) ]

You see,      .....this 'Bible tampering' claim is just another [pathetic claim of] conspiracy against those 'victim' muslims, and ISLAM.
To muslims, the traditional Jewish and Christian Bible, they insist, is yet more 'evidence' of yet another Zionist conspiracy against those pure, peaceful, truthful, righteous, muslims.

Those poor 'victim' muslims, and ISLAM, who only want to bring 'sweet peace' to this world.
Honest!
And who insist that this can all be achieved by the murder, and slaughter, of all who would uncover their pathological lies and their pathological violence.

ISLAM - the death cult.

Christians and muslims - not reading from the same hymn sheet.

The Bible tampering claims [made by muslims] reflect the reason for the very divergent beliefs held by [many] Christians on the one hand, and by muslims on the other, towards key Biblical characters and events [see the Table at the top of this page].
You see, in actuality, the traditional Jewish and Christian Bible does not support, theologically, the bulk of ISLAMIC religious doctrine.
Surprise, surprise!    :))))

And yet, ISLAM bases its theology on the claim that Allah is the God, of the Jewish, old testament bible!

So how do muslim scholars proceed, from this evident divergent theological impasse, between ISLAM and Judeo-Christian theology?
Well, as per usual, muslim scholars claim piety for themselves, and claim a wondrous example of [i am not kidding!] inerrant inspiration by their 'Prophet', in the composition of their own religious document - the Koran.
And muslim scholars categorise the traditional Jewish and Christian Bible as unreliable, as flawed, as being a maliciously 'changed' document.          ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Pathetic!!!   :)))))))))))

As per usual!, the actual historical evidence in the world, as to the veracity of the Koran, on the one hand, vis-a-vis the Jewish Bible, as claimed by muslim scholars, is completely at odds with the opinions of non-muslim scholars!

As per usual!, muslim scholars support the 'inerrancy' of the Koran, and reject out-of-hand, all real world evidence which contradicts their position on that matter.

As per usual!, ISLAM is always [claimed to be] correct.
And anybody who challenges that position is worthy of death, at the hands of ISLAM's Jihadists.

I would suggest that, it does not give anyone much hope for, or confidence in, so called muslim 'scholarship', when all who would dare diverge, or wander, from any 'predetermined' ISLAMIC 'knowledge', are put in fear of their lives, with threats.
In ISLAM, where is the primacy of TRUTH, over dogma?
Clearly, there is none.

An example, the not un-common fate of 'reformers' of ISLAM....

October 1, 2007
Imam shot dead the day after he spoke out against Islamic jihadists
.....Wonder why more peaceful Muslims don't speak out against the jihad?
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/018328.php
http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5iufo5EIuTf16OBMhY7j5pfzWQ3vg

The norm in [real] scholarship could be described....
".....precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line....",

....but in ISLAM it appears as......'....falsehood, upon falsehood, and threat, upon threat'.     :))))

Challenging the position of ISLAM...
There are other reputable sources, but see,

4 - TEXTUAL HISTORY OF THE KORAN
"Almost every Muslim is taught from infancy to cling to the notion that the Bible has been corrupted and changed, while the Koran is free from corruption, perfectly preserved since the time of Muhammad.
But a thorough study of the textual history of the Koran will show that it is not the Bible, but the Koran that has been changed.
.....Contrary  to Muslim belief,  there were more  than  just  language differences between Uthman's text and the texts which were ordered to be burned. In every case, there were considerable verbal differences between them and the text Uthman determined (by whim) to be the final standardized version of the Koran.
.....Evidence abounds to this day, that verses, indeed whole passages are missing from the Koran that is in circulation today."

and,
ISRAEL ...The Chosen of God!

2 Peter 1:16
¶For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

'Kiss the devil, and weep!'

Mary, the mother of Jesus.
The 'inerrant' Koran is so 'confused' that it states that,
Mary [Miriam], the sister of Aaron [and Moses], is the mother of,    ...Jesus.
Read it yourself...
There is also an account in the Koran, that the muslim 'Jesus' is presented, and speaks to a crowd, on his natal day [or some days, after it?].
...And Miriam, mother of 'Jesus', and "...O sister of Aaron!" [Mother of 'Jesus', was sister of Aaron???] - all these 'miracles' and more, in the 'inerrant' Koran.
When 'weighing' these Koranic accounts consider this....
The whole of ISLAM is based, is built upon, the the words [and i will say this again, the words] which passed through the lips of one single man.

Where do they who are in rebellion against God [the God of justice for the poor, and the weak], dwell?

Psalms 68:4
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

5  A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6  God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Interestingly perhaps, many Middle Eastern muslims also claim to be [the actual physical] descendants of the Biblical Abraham.

Jesus had an interesting discourse with another group of like minded men who also claimed that, "Abraham is our father."...

John 8:38
¶I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39  They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40  But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41  Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Who is the deceiver of this world?

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Original sin

This is a spiritual story, about spiritual lessons.

What was man's 'original sin'?
Eating an apple?
[Smile.]
Perhaps.

But personally, i believe that man's 'original sin' may have been, believing a lie, and then doing something wicked, on the basis of believing that lie.

I'm sure i am not alone in believing that, 'the tree of the knowledge of good and evil', in the Genesis garden story, was an allegorical tale.

Genesis 2:15
And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16  ¶And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

How does any individual gain knowledge?
Many times it is gained from experience.
[because most of us are too dumb to take our parents good advice, and learn from their experience, and their  knowledge !  :-)   ].

And how does one gain  knowledge  of,   .....evil?
Well, one way is by doing something wicked!
[doing something dumb!]

It is suggested in the Genesis garden story, that created man was an innocent creature.

But, it must also have been true that being so, he was also totally inexperienced, and that he had no knowledge of evil, and no knowledge of its  cost !
And so man was instructed by God [his creator, his 'father'], of what 'wicked' was, and that he must not do any wicked thing.

"...of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:"

But someone else, suggested to the woman that to 'taste the fruit' of the tree, would be advantageous for mankind,

'...your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.'

It was a lie,     ....but the woman was deceived.
It was her desire, to believe the lie.

'...the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise,
she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.'

A little later in Genesis we read the story of Cain and Abel.
What did Cain do?
Well, another wicked thing!
Driven by his desire, he spilt his brothers blood!

Genesis 4:8
¶And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

9  ¶And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

Remember i said that this is a spiritual story, about spiritual lessons.

God already had a plan for the redemption of mankind, which, by way of a parallel of man's sin, involved a  blood sacrifice  in 'an atonement for the soul'.

Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

But as always, man, following his desire, his vanity, and engaging in 'wickedness' to accomplish his desire, thinks that he knows better.

It is true, that many men regard  themselves  as the final arbiters of what is 'righteous'.
[because these men are the ones who want to believe SATAN's lie, '...your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods,' ].
......and these men regard themselves as far too clever, to ever need to acknowledge their true God,     .....their spiritual father.
They have cast off God, from being their father.

Proverbs 21:2
¶Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Wicked men do wickedness and violence in this world, because there is no compassion in their hearts.

Romans 3:17
And the way of peace have they not known:
18  There is no fear of God before their eyes.

And when they meet God, as all men must, guess what?

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

'Jehad is a means to end Tyranny & Injustice!'

If you believe the Jihadists, if you believe the muslim clerics,
....ISLAM itself, is the path we must take, to end sin against God, and to end tyranny & injustice!

But sorry, ISLAM, as a body of men, is clearly not about truth, and not about loving God!
ISLAM is a death cult, which has been built, with
falsehood, upon falsehood.

".....lying to hide or misrepresent the true nature of Islam to the unbelieving world
is actually part and parcel of Islam’s method
of carrying out jihad against non-Muslims."

ISLAM is an attempt in fact, by SATAN, to thwart God's plan, for the redemption of mankind.
ISLAM is just more lies, for mankind, from Satan.
More sorrow.

2 Thessalonians 2:1
¶Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3  ¶Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6  And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Psalms 32:1
¶<<A Psalm of David, Maschil.>> Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2  Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Guile?

According to the Koran, 'Allah is the best of schemers.'

Koran 3:54
And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers.

And in the Bible, the God of Israel is attributed thus,

Job 12:16
With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

You choose,
......the darkness, or the LIGHT.

Isaiah 63:16
Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
17  O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
18  The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
19  We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.

".....the tribes of thine inheritance."

"Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?"

Isaiah 40:3
¶The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4  Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5  And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
6  The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
7  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Isaiah 52:10
The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
11  Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
12  For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.

Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

"....the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel."

Some verses, just from Isaiah.

Isaiah 1:16
¶Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17  Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Immanuel means,   .....'God [is] with us'.

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah 11:1
¶And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3  And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4  But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5  And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

3  Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4  ¶And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5  Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
6  Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Isaiah 25:8
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9  ¶And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Isaiah 26:17
Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.
18  We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
19  Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
20  ¶Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
21  For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 40:1
¶Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2  Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.
3  ¶The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Isaiah 47:1
¶Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
2  Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
3  Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
4  As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
5  Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
6  I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

Isaiah 51:15
But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.
16  And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

Isaiah 53:1
¶Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4  ¶Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:11
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12  Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 54:5
For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6  ¶For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7  For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8  In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Isaiah 61:1
¶The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
