3:13

Atonement
for sin,
through blood
sacrifice?
What is that about???
I 'got' God's plan for
mankind - well i thought i did.
Honest! [smile]
Our
repentance, and our redemption, through Jesus sacrifice.
A redemption [in two
parts] for those, for any,
and for all!, who would accept it.
Which is...
- Acknowledge our sin [our willful nature], acknowledge our
hopelessness, our
helplessness, to God.
- Accept God's gift [of His atonement
for sin,
on our behalf!].
Paul states it like this...
Romans
3:10
As it is written, There is none
righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that
understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the
way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth
good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open
sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps
is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of
cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed
blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in
their ways:
17 And the way of peace have
they not known:
18 There is no fear of God
before their eyes.
19 ¶Now we know that what
things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law:
that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty
before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the
law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is
the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of
God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the
prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God
which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his
grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be
a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness
for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this
time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him
which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is
excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a
man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
We demonstrate our faith [in God's atonement, through the sacrifice of
Yahshua], by acknowledging what a mess the world is in, through our
willful, selfish walk.
We say, "I am sorry. And I accept
God's
offered redemption.", so that when this life is over we can
share in Yahshua's resurrection.
The pattern
for this redemption, through atonement for
sin, was, is evident throughout God's word.
[Anyone who reads God's word will [over time] come to know, and
understand, that God is very big
on 'patterns' for
types, for us to discover [in his word]!]
I believe [as do others] that Yahweh has set out these patterns [of
types] again and
again, in
the
bible.
Here are a few of the verses which
relate to
atonement
for sin, through blood sacrifice.
Exodus 30:10
And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year
with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year
shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most
holy unto the LORD.
Leviticus 16:18
And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an
atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of
the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round
about.
Leviticus 16:27
And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin
offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy
place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in
the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood
that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Deuteronomy 12:23
Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life;
and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
2 Chronicles 29:24
And the priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their
blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king
commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made
for all Israel.
Matthew 26:28
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many
for the remission of sins.
John 6:47
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath
everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man
may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man
eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will
give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can
this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have
no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal
life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in
me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father:
so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your
fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall
live for ever.
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in
Capernaum.
60 ¶Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard
this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it,
he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was
before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through
faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of
sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without
shedding of blood is no remission.
But
why atonement through blood
sacrifice?
OK, there are 'patterns' in God's word, hidden in plain sight for us to
find.
But recently, something began to bug me.
Atonement
for sin, through blood sacrifice?
This, i did not understand.
I did understand the function
of the 'type',
but i did not
understand the
basis for
this 'type'.
Blood sacrifice?
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given
him.
I even asked God...
"What
is that blood sacrifice thing about Yahweh?
Are
you [perhaps] a vampire
God?
You know i'm just kidding God!"
Yes, i believed that there was a
reason for this blood
sacrifice 'type', but i just could not see
it.
I could not,
understand.
Why use this particular 'type' in the atonement for sin pattern?
I searched God's word.
Luke
11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall
be given you; seek, and ye shall
find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Well, i now believe that God has shown me.
I believe that God has revealed an answer, to my understanding.
This particular blood sacrifice
'type', in the atonement for sin pattern, does not speak to God's
nature,
or any fascination of His, with blood
rites.
An
answer
This particular blood sacrifice
'type' speaks to our
nature, and to our physical
form in this life.
It comes back again, to our underlying human nature of both aggression,
and
greed.
Yahweh knows, and we must
come to understand that....
The sinful nature of man will lead man to shed the blood of his brother.
So, the shedding of blood, being linked with atonement for sin, is
predicated on man's physical
existence here.
And upon the
way man has
chosen to
vanquish and 'prevail' against his brethren.
And that is through
the shedding of blood!!!
Mankind's chosen
'way' to prevail is through force, and through
the shedding of blood!!!
Genesis
4:6
¶And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy
countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou
doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his
desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
8 ¶And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to
pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his
brother, and slew him.
9 ¶And the LORD said unto
Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my
brother's keeper?
10 And he said, What hast thou
done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
This, is why the shedding of blood is linked to atonement for sin!
This 'pattern' for our atonement, is for our 'learning', for our
edification.
So in aggression, in violence, and in the spilling of blood, we must
pay a price!
This is simple justice.
Blood for blood!
Genesis
9:5
And surely your blood of your lives
will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at
the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the
life of man.
6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by
man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you
upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood
that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without
shedding of blood is no remission.
But on a personal level, what about me?!?
Have i shed a man's blood?
No.
So, why am i accounted guilty of Cain's sin too?
[Just look at this world!!! 2006-Nov]
Jesus said that even to have anger [without cause], is to prove your
nature, and to be
worthy of death [judgment]!
Matthew
5:21
¶Ye have heard that it was said
by them of old time, Thou shalt not
kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That
whosoever
is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the
judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in
danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in
danger of hell fire.
But God wishes to pardon our sin, IFF, we are willing to acknowledge
our sin [repent], and return to him.

There is a very
interesting finale
to this pattern
of...
atonement
for sin through blood
sacrifice,
relating to the original, and lost, Ark
of the
Covenant !
The pattern of the Law of
Yahweh,
was instituted through Moses.
The Law of sacrifice was a pattern to cover the sins
of the people of
God.
Israel, a people holy to God.
Once a year the mercy seat of the Ark of the
Covenant,
was to be sprinkled
with the blood of the
sacrifice
made for
atonement.
It was a sacrifice
made to cover the sins of the people of
God, for the previous year.
This ritual was
nothing more than another pattern
[of a 'type'].
It was the pattern for
Yahweh's [end of time] redemption of the people of
God.
And that pattern has been
fulfilled [read on],
by the Messiah of Israel,
and in accordance with the Law of Yahweh.
A message
for
the people of
God.
And for
the people of Israel, a people holy to God.
...Return, in this time, and seek
your God!
The
fulfillment of the
Law of Yahweh,
and an end of atonement
for sin through the Law is
clear,
...if you will receive
the account of a man called Ron
Wyatt [now deceased].
Should we believe Ron Wyatt's account?
Hosea 3:4
For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and
without a prince, and
without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod,
and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the
LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his
goodness in the latter days.
1
Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the
things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they
are spiritually discerned.
Be amazed!
And wonder at the ways of Yahweh, your redeemer!

He is a God who loves
righteousness and mercy, and he is our God.
And we are blessed because we choose
to accept his gift.
Psalms
85:1
¶<<To the chief Musician, A
Psalm for the sons of
Korah.>> LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast
brought back the captivity of Jacob.
2 Thou hast forgiven
the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin.
Selah.
3 Thou hast taken away all thy
wrath: thou hast turned thyself
from the fierceness of thine anger.
4 Turn us, O God of our
salvation, and cause thine anger toward
us to cease.
5 Wilt thou be angry with us for
ever? wilt thou draw out thine
anger to all generations?
6 Wilt thou not revive us again:
that thy people may rejoice in
thee?
7 Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and
grant us thy salvation.
8 ¶I will hear what God the
LORD will speak: for he will
speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn
again to folly.
9 Surely his salvation is nigh
them that fear him; that glory may
dwell in our land.
10 Mercy and truth are met
together; righteousness and peace have
kissed each other.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth;
and righteousness shall
look down from heaven.
12 Yea, the LORD shall give that
which is good; and our land
shall yield her increase.
13 Righteousness shall go before
him; and shall set us in the way
of his steps.
The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken their ancient
covenant with their God, to walk in their own ways.
Jeremiah
11:6
Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of
Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of
this covenant, and do them.
7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I
brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising
early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every
one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon
them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but
they did them not.
9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men
of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words;
and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and
the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their
fathers.
Israel & Judah, a green olive tree...
Jeremiah
11:16
The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly
fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it,
and the branches of it are broken.
17 For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil
against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of
Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger
in offering incense unto Baal.
18 ¶And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it, and I know
it: then thou shewedst me their doings.
19 But I was like a
lamb or an ox that is brought
to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices
against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and
let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no
more remembered.
20 But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest
the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto
thee have I revealed my cause.
This world is full of violence and injustice.
And men complain of God, This being
so, is God just?
Jeremiah
12:1
¶Righteous art thou, O LORD, when
I plead with thee: yet let
me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the
wicked prosper? wherefore
are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
Matthew 13:24
¶Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of
heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the
wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit,
then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him,
Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath
it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said
unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root
up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow
together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will
say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them
in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:36
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his
disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the
tares of the field.
37 He answered and said
unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the
world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are
the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed
them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the
reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so
shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall
gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be
wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom
of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
But God will reveal
to the whole earth, that in all his dealings with man, it is God that
is righteous
and true!
Isaiah 56:1
¶Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my
salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Romans 1:16
¶For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the
righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is
written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;
19 ¶Because that
which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible
things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power
and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as
God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and
their foolish heart was darkened.
Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,
and they
also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail
because of him. Even so, Amen.
I say to the people of God, and to all Israel, seek your God!
He is a God who loves righteousness.
Exodus
6:7 And I will take
you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall
know that I am the
LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the
Egyptians.
8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I
did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will
give it you for an heritage: I
am the LORD.
Deuteronomy 4:26
I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall
soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to
possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly
be destroyed.
27 And the LORD shall scatter
you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the
heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
28 And there ye shall serve
gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor
hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29 But if from thence thou shalt
seek the LORD thy God,
thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all
thy soul.
30 When thou art in tribulation,
and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if
thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
31 (For the LORD thy God is a
merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor
forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
Psalms 105:1
¶O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his
deeds among the people.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his
wondrous works.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that
seek the LORD.
4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders,
and the judgments of his mouth;
6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his
chosen.
7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
8 ¶He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which
he commanded to a thousand generations.
9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for
an everlasting covenant:
Psalms 106:1
¶Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth
all his praise?
3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth
righteousness at all times.
4 Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy
people: O visit me with thy salvation;
5 That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in
the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
6 ¶We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed
iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they
remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the
sea, even at the Red sea.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might
make his mighty power to be known.
9 He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led
them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and
redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of
them left.
12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
13 ¶They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his
counsel:
14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in
the desert.
15 And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their
soul.
Psalms 106:34
¶They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD
commanded them:
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto
devils,
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of
their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the
land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a
whoring with their own inventions.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his
people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that
hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into
subjection under their hand.
43 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with
their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless he
regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented
according to the multitude of his mercies.
46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them
captives.
47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen,
to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
48 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to
everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

this section
below,
is largely what i had written regards
atonement,
before i decided to address the blood
sacrifice 'thing'...
Atonement for
ISRAEL
A Covenant, and a pattern, revealed at an
earlier time.
[for the forgiveness of sins, for the
forgiveness of 'transgressions' against God's righteousness]
The earlier pattern [of atonement ] given to the
house of ISRAEL...
Exodus
25:40
And look that thou make them after
their pattern, which was shewed
thee in the mount.
Leviticus 16:14
And he shall take of the blood of the
bullock, and sprinkle it with his
finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he
sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
15 ¶Then shall he kill the
goat of the sin offering, that is
for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that
blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the
mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
16 And he shall
make an
atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the
children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their
sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that
remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
The declaration of a future, new covenant...
Jeremiah 31:29
In those days
they shall say no more, The fathers
have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
30 But every one shall die for
his own iniquity: every man that
eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.
31 Behold, the days come, saith
the LORD, that I will make a new
covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant
that I made with their fathers
in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land
of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto
them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the
covenant that I will make with the house
of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their
inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and
they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more
every man his neighbour, and
every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know
me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:
for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no
more.
And Atonement for
all mankind through a new Covenant.
Fulfillment [atonement], in a new covenant...
Hebrews
8:1
¶Now of the things which we have
spoken this is the sum: We have
such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the sanctuary,
and of the true tabernacle, which
the Lord pitched, and not man.
3 For every high priest is
ordained to offer gifts and
sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat
also to offer.
4 For if he were on earth, he
should not be a priest, seeing that
there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve unto the example and
shadow of heavenly things, as
Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle:
for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern
shewed to thee in the mount.
Hebrews 9:18
Whereupon neither the first testament
was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken
every precept to all the people
according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with
water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and
all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of
the testament which God hath
enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with
blood both the tabernacle, and all
the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by
the law purged with blood; and
without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 ¶It was therefore
necessary that the patterns of
things
in the heavens should be
purified with these; but the heavenly
things
themselves with better sacrifices than these.
And why are these 'patterns' hidden
in plain sight in God's word?
I believe that the reason this has been done is...
- so that through meditation, study, these patterns in God's word
[the Bible]
may become
[easily] 'apparent' to
us, and...
- to underscore by the use of these 'patterns', the importance
of certain
aspects of our
relationship with God, and...
- that through coming to understand God's 'meanings' in these
patterns, our confidence in God's promise is made stronger.
God wants us to know and understand his plan for our redemption - to
him that will hear.
To understand ourselves, and to understand, about our relationship with
Him! - to
him that will hear.

Corinthians 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but
unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:20
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this
world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew
not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them
that believe.
1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they
are spiritually discerned.
What is the whole of the Law?
What does God require?...
Proverbs
21:3
¶To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than
sacrifice.
Hosea 6:6
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more
than burnt offerings.
Micah
6:7
Will the LORD be pleased with
thousands of rams, or with ten thousands
of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the
fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He hath shewed thee, O man,
what is good; and what doth the
LORD
require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk
humbly with thy God?
Mark 12:28
¶And one of the scribes came, and
having heard them reasoning
together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him,
Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The
first of all the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our
God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and
with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like,
namely this, Thou shalt love
thy
neighbour as thyself. There
is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him,
Well, Master, thou hast said the
truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him
with
all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul,
and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is
more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
So, in conclusion.
So Yahshua [Joshua, Jesus] has paid our price!
The price to redeem mankind, from sin.
Yahshua paid for our redemption, with his own blood!
And through faith [belief] we are justified, when we accept his gift.
And we should now endeavour to
turn away from our old selfish ways.
Those ways which we have come to learn in this physical form.
Those ways which at one time seemed right to us.
But these were ways which led us to confusion and sadness.
Romans
3:16
Destruction and misery are in
their ways:
17 And the way of peace have
they not known:
18 There is no fear of God
before their eyes.
So this faith we have [in God's promise] is truly confirmed in us, when
we look at the troubles in this world.
Troubles which come from an expression of our unrestrained human nature.
And sadly, it is a life
which still seems right, to those which still live it.
And they do whatever they
will - being willful children.
Which we once were.
From time to time, we may still stumble.
But we must try to live a new life now.
And quietly we await our future.
Romans
12:2
And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Although many of these patterns of old observances in God's word [which
spoke to us] are now past and 'fulfilled'...
Colossians
2:16
¶Let no man therefore judge you
in meat, or in drink, or in
respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things
to come; but the body is of
Christ.
What is
important.... is that we should not continue in our old
'affections', we should not seek to satisfy our old desires in this
world, which [would then, 'naturally'] lead us again to [a life of] sin
against God.
Colossians
3:1
¶If ye then be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are
above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things
above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life
is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life,
shall appear, then shall ye also
appear with him in glory.
5 ¶Mortify therefore your
members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the
wrath of God cometh on the children
of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked
some time, when ye lived in them.
8 ¶But now ye also put off
all these; anger, wrath, malice,
blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing
that ye have put off the old man
with his deeds;
Now, in this time,
earnestly accept God's good gift, and thank Yahweh for his mercy
and love.
Ecclesiastes
3:1
¶To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose
under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:10
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be
exercised in it.
11 ¶He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he
hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the
work
that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to
rejoice, and to do good in his life.
Jeremiah 9:23
¶Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man
glory in his riches:
24 But let him that
glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am
the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in
the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all
them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and
Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the
wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house
of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
Jeremiah 13:16
Give glory to the LORD your
God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon
the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the
shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
