Castle Forbes Bay House & Cottage are to be found near the bank of the Huon River in Castle Forbes Bay. Castle Forbes Bay lies approximately 40 minutes drive South of Hobart in the Huon Valley. Leaving Hobart you drive toward Kingston on the "Southern Outlet". Before reaching Kingston the highway splits and you should follow signs to Huonville. 15 to 20 minutes later you will reach Huonville. Continue on south passing through the historic township of Franklin. If you have time, why not stop and visit the "Wooden Boat Building school" or browse in "Treasures - Antiques and Collectibles". If its time to eat, stop at the150 year old pub "The Franklin Tavern" for lunch or dinner before driving on for 5 minutes further south where you will enter Castle Forbes Bay. 500m from the speed limit sign you will see a sign for Meredith St as well as a sign for Castle Forbes Bay House.
