Helpful Location Tips for Memorable Photos on your Special Day:
Scout your favourite photo locations at a similar time of day and similar time of year that you will be getting married. This way you keep an eye on sunset times, wind strength & avoid any unwanted crowds.
Its a good idea to also double check it the week before, and always have backup locations in mind.
Also allow extra travel time than what you think you need.
(Parking / Turning in large limos can be tricky.)
Bear in mind the sun's direction and what you want in the background, watch out for sun in your eyes to avoid squinting, and remember if the sun is behind you, that you will be in shadow. This can be used effectively as a silhouette shot or we can fill it with flash, but remember too much light into the cameras lens will create flare effects.
Ideally you want the sun be be roughly at a 45 degree angle to you. Midday sun is best avoided.
Photos are also better in the shade where you get lovely soft shadows, Avoid Dappled/Spotted light

It is also recommended that you create a list of the group shots that you want, this will speed things up on the day. You may also want to start collecting images that you may want to try to recreate on the day.
It is handy to nominate a family member to round up each group so they are ready to go.
This is your special day, so delegate the tasks, so that you can relax and enjoy it all!
