As Home Server has arrived, there will be many third party solutions to items missing/removed in home server.
Home server has not been designed to be the be all and end all for the home. It has some specific aims to make your data protected and files safe from prying eyes whilst giving you external access to your files security and making the drive space extendable.
Other features will be available in the next version.
Microsoft has left a lot undone so that third party vendors can write fantastic applications for the platform.
