| You will need the latest version of Eazy VCD. You can get it here. Install it and Restart your computer. | |
| Place your source DVD into your DVD-ROM. Start Eazy VCD by double-clicking the icon on your desktop. It will automatically scan the disc and bring you to the following screen: | |

| It has automatically chosen the longest Program Chain, which is always the Main Movie. | |

| In order to get excellent quality, change: | |
| 1. Encoding Quality to Highest Quality (Very Slow) | 2. Encoding Type to XVCD |
| 3. X(S)VCD CD Type to 80min 700MB CD-R | 4. X(S)VCD CD Amount to 1 |

| If you intend to burn to CD, select Make Bin/Cue Image. If you intend to leave the file on your Hard Drive, select Make MPEG File. | |

| Click the RIP IT button to start the process. | |

| All done ! Now you can burn the Image or move the MPEG File to your Media directory. | |
| NOTES: The first time TMPGEnc is opened, a splash screen will be displayed because it is a free version. Simply select "Do not display this message again" and the splash screen will never be displayed again. Once the 30 day MPEG-2 trial runs out, you will have to do the same thing for its splash screen. The default output directory is C:\ and the filename will the Provider ID of the DVD. These can both be changed if you wish. Making a Bin/Cue Image will preserve the chapters whereas making an MPEG File will not. You can even shutdown your PC automatically when finished. | |
