Rickman TriBSA 500

My friend Brian on the Rickman Metisse TriBSA. I bought this bike from a neighbour who had it at the back of his garage because he was too old to ride it. It came with 2 spare motors and was the best $50 I've ever spent. The frame was from a BSA Road Rocket, the engine an all alloy 500cc Tiger 100 Triumph and the fibreglass Rickman. It was an awesome mongrel too, the alcohol fed twin would spin the rear knobby on bitumen but doing the ton on dirt was not advisable unless there was plenty of stopping and turning space. It was a heavy underbraked beast but adrenalin rushing fun. It was dismantled for restoration in 1988 but sold as a basket case in 1996.
