A nine year old 1988 Le Mans with only 8000k's was too much of a temptation for me in 1997. Besides being very red it does everything that I expect of a motorcycle and with a huge amount of character. Comparisons with the 900SS can't be avoided. The Le Mans is definately the better handler but the Ducati is the freer revver. So far as at 2010 I have clocked up over 130,000 enjoyable and mostly trouble free kilometres on the Le Mans.(see the post crash page)I have made some not at first glance obvious modifications such as totally linked brakes and electrically assisted throttle return which means a much lighter throttle on the 40mm Dell Orto's.
