Methodist Church Moonta Mines S.A.
If you are ever heading out the Arthurton Road past the mines at night and happen to pass the road leading down towards the Moonta Mines Church you would see a light in the darkness through the dark silhouette of the trees. This is what I have tried to capture in this shot. The Moonta Mines church is renowned for its magnificent organ and its beautiful architecture with its iron gates, but I didn’t want to capture this approach. Rather I have taken this shot from a distance which has enhanced the church’s architecture rather than diminishing it. The trees have surrounded the church with a silhouette of darkness; this is my most favorite aspect of the shot. The Lighting in this shot is all natural.
