Harvey's Engine House, Wallaroo Mines Kadina
Harvey’s Engine House is so different in architecture to the surrounding mine buildings. The stonework has a distinct dark stone pattern in its structure. It is also surrounded by lots of dense trees, which gives it a very dark atmosphere. I took this picture about 10:30pm at night with a full moon in the sky that was close to setting. The moonshine on the building was only lighting up the side of the Engine House; so I used an artificial light to bring out the stonework of the front of the building. There was also a weather front approaching, which only gave a small window of opportunity to capture the stars. Thankfully the cloud formation was brilliant; giving the effect of streaks across the night sky.
