Welcome to our search for ancestors , there are variations in surname spelling as most people in the know realise, people of old were not all that literate and they spelt things the way it sounded . Most of the info contained here is written records, there are numerous records from the IGI which are not 100% accurate, a lot of these records are contaminated with previous assumptions of people who didn't research thoroughly, & you can include me in there as well . Its easy enough to do , you uncover things which seem to be correct then you uncover other info later on which stuffs it all up , by then the damage is done if you submit your info to some sites which I have done myself. The Mormon church is trying to rectify this problem but it will take years to weed out the useless from the fact. It is still a reasonable source for research, in my case I have records supplied by other researchers going back to 1034 , which I haven't listed here as there is probably no chance of me being able to prove they are my ancestors , in saying that I have uncovered little bits of the overall puzzle , just have to piece them together. It makes for interesting reading , perhaps I will post it one day.
We have a considerable amount of info on families not in our direct line here , the reason I've done it mainly is to help those people with interest in those particular lines . If I don't put it here then I'll file it away & be sitting on something that someone might need to fill in that elusive gap so hopefully it will be of benefit for some people.
I have found or been found by unknown relatives , combined research is very helpful and hopefully reduces the cost of certificates & the like.. I have uncovered many "juicey" stories within my family , which some are not very happy about, none of which are on these pages. It adds some interest and spices up the boring past time of research.
Finally have found a relative on my elusive Griffiths side living in Australia , only wish it happened before my mother passed away.
Must mention a site for all "Penrose" descendants & other names of course, it's excellent Mark Hattam's site.
I must mention a lady who has supplied me with lots of info on the Thomas part of my family as well as the Penrose side of things , Mrs.Ruth Bird has supplied me with photos & other info which has been extremely helpful. Which also made me recheck some of my info & make adjustments. That way info listed here should be more accurate for others , I appreciate Ruth's input a lot. While I am mentioning names I have to thank Warwick Taylor for all his help on the Taylor part of the tree & the photo's which he supplied me. Another lady who I should mention that supplied me with info initially a few years back is Mrs.Bronwyn King I appreciated her input as well.
will have a passworded section for members of my family tree soon . This section will have copies of all certificates relating to my side and other info as well , incl full dates of living individuals etc.

In the notes of some individuals I have info which I have uncovered but haven't as yet verified..................just about all names going back to the 1600's have been checked in the actual parish records , by us or by other people who have supplied the info to us ,past this date not checked (IGI only). Really you can't claim to be 100% but all available checks have been made .
