Xaggerate Scrap SB

Written for PSP 9

 

Skill Level = Intermediate

  

Supplies Needed:  

A graphic of your choice

*Note: You will be pasting this graphic

into a selection of 196 x 178 pixels.

 

Xaggerate Scrap_MG

Xaggerate Mask_MG

Preparation:

Install filter, if necessary.

Open Xaggerate Scrap & Mask in PSP.

 

Performance Notes: 

All settings will remain the same unless

new settings are given.

Don't forget to save your work often.

 

 

Here is a arrow you can drag and drop when you

need to mark where you are. .
Just left click and drag to where you want it then let

go. It will stay where ever you put it, until you close

your browser.

 

Let's begin :)

 

1) File > Open 

Open graphic of choice

 

2) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)

Close original

 

3) Dropper Tool (E)

Left click on your tube to pick a 

light color for your Foreground and

right click to pick a dark color for

your Background

 

4) Edit > Copy

 

5) File > New

Settings:

Width = 300 Pixels

Height = 500 Pixels

Raster Background = Checked

Transparent = Checked

 

6) Flood Fill Tool

Settings:

Match mode = None

Sample merged = Not Checked

Blend mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

Right click to fill with Dark color

 

7) Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image

Settings:

Source window = Xaggerate Mask_MG.jpg

Create mask from = Source luminance

Invert mask data = Not checked

 

8) Layers > Merge > Merge Group

 

9) Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds

Settings:

Width = 5

Opacity = 50

Color = Your light color

Horizontal = Not checked

Light from left/top = Checked

 

10) Effects > Plugins > FunHouse > Xaggerate

Settings:

\\ waves = 24

// waves = 24

 

11) Selection Tool > Custom Selection

Settings:

Top = 67

Left = 52

Right = 248

Bottom = 245

 

12) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

13) Edit > Paste > Paste Into Selection

(your graphic)

 

14) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

15) Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout

Settings:

Vertical = 0

Horizonal = 0

Opacity = 100

Blur = 10.00

Shadow color = Black

Fill interior with color = Not checked

 

16) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

 

17) Selections > Select None

 

*Optional

18) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 1

Horizontal = 1

Opacity = 60

Blur = 0

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = Not checked

 

19) Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Width = 1280 Pixels (or preferred size)

Height = 500 Pixels

Lock aspect ratio = Not checked

Placement = Left middle arrow

 

20) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

21) Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

 

22) Selections > Select All

 

23) Edit > Paste > Paste Into Selection

 

24) Selections > Select None

 

25) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

Settings:

Default

 

26) Effects > Plugins > FunHouse > Xaggerate

 

27) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

 

28) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

29) Flood Fill Tool

Left click to fill with Light color

 

30) Layers Palette

Lower the opacity of Raster 2 Layer

70 - 80 %

 

31) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

 

32) Activate Xaggerate Scrap_MG.pspimage

 

33) Activate Blue Tag

*Note - You may colorize the scrap

to match your colors

 

34) Edit > Copy

 

35) Activate your working image

 

36) Edit > Paste > Paste As New Layer

 

37) Image > Rotate > Free Rotate

Settings:

Direction = Left

Free = Checked

Degrees = 30.00

All Layers = Not checked

Rotate single layer around canvas

center = Not checked

 

38) Move Tool

Move your tag over to the left under

your picture

 

39) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 1

Horizontal = 1

Opacity = 60

Blur = 0

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = Not checked

 

40) Activate Xaggerate Scrap_MG.pspimage

 

41) Activate Blue or Pink Ribbon

*Note - You may colorize the scrap

to match your colors

 

42) Edit > Copy

 

43) Activate your working image

 

44) Edit > Paste > Paste As New Layer

 

45) Move Tool

Move the ribbon over to the left so that

it sits nicely on top of your tag

 

46) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

 

47) Activate Xaggerate Scrap_MG.pspimage

 

48) Activate the Pink or Blue Heart Paper Clip

*Note - You may colorize the scrap

to match your colors

 

49) Edit > Copy

 

50) Activate your working image

 

51) Edit > Paste > Paste As New Layer

 

52) Move Tool

Move the paper clip over to the left and

sit it on top of the little image

 

 

53) Eraser Tool

Settings:

Shape = Square

Size = 8

Hardness = 100

Step = 100

Density = 100

Thickness = 100

Rotation = 0

Opacity = 100

Erase part of the paper clip to make it

look like it is attached to the little picture

 

 

54) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

 

55) Text Tool

Add some text of your choice to your tag

 

56) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

57) Add Watermark

 

58) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer 

Settings: 

Compression value set at 20 - 25

 

All finished!! You're now ready to

assemble for Incredimail or Outlook
