Papyrus Frame & SB

Written for PSP X2

 

Skill Level = Intermediate

  

Supplies Needed:  

A graphic of your choice

 

Gold corner of your choice

 

Gold Pattern of your choice

  

Filters:

<I.C.NET Software> Filters Unlimited 2 (here)

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II  (here)

Simple (here)

  

Preparation:

Install filter, if necessary.

 

Performance Notes: 

All settings will remain the same unless

new settings are given.

Don't forget to save your work often.

 
 

 

Here is a arrow you can drag and drop when you

need to mark where you are. .
Just left click and drag to where you want it then let

go. It will stay where ever you put it, until you close

your browser.

 

Let's begin :)

Frame

 

1) File > Open 

Open graphic of choice

 

2) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)

Close original

 

3) Image > Resize

Settings:

Resample using = Smart Size

Lock aspect ratio = Checked

Resize all layers = Checked

Width = Will self adjust

Height = No higher than 320 Pixels

 

*Optional

Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

  

4) Dropper Tool (E)

Left click on your tube to pick a 

light color for your Foreground and

right click to pick a dark color for

your Background

 

5) Materials Palette

Set your Background to a Gold Pattern

Settings:

Angle = 0

Scale = 100

Texture = Not checked

 

6) Edit > Copy

 

7) Selections > Select All

 

8) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

9) Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout

Settings:

Vertical = 0

Horizontal = 0

Opacity = 85

Blur = 10.00

Shadow color = Black

Fill interior with color = Not checked

 

10) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Symmetric = Checked

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Color not in your graphic

 

11) Magic Wand

Settings:

Mode = Replace

Match mode = RGB Value

Tolerance = 0

Use all layers = Not checked

Contiguous = Checked

Feather = 0

Anti-alias = Checked

Outside = Selected
Select border

 

12) Flood Fill Tool

Settings:

Match mode = None

Use all layers = Checked

Blend mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

Fill with Gold Pattern

 

13) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

 

14) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 15

Color = Your dark color

 

15) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

16) Effects > Plugins >

Greg's Factory Output Vol.II > Pool Shadow

Settings:

Diagonal = 50

Center = 50

Horizontal = 50

Diagonal = 50

Horizontal = 50

Vertical = 50

Intensity = 150

Lightness = 170

 

17) Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

Settings:

Bevel = 2

Width = 3

Smoothness = 10

Depth = 3

Ambience = 0

Shininess = 0

Color = White

Angle = 315

Intensity = 50

Elevation  = 30

 

18) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Your light color

 

19) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

20) Flood Fill Tool

Right click to fill with Gold pattern

 

21) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

 

22) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 15

 

23) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

24) Effects > Plugins >

25) Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

 

26) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Your dark color

 

27) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

28) Flood Fill Tool

Right click to fill with Gold Pattern

 

29) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

 

30) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 35

 

31) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

32) Edit > Paste Into Selection

 

33) Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Settings:

Radius = 15.00

 

34) Effects > Plugins > <I.C.NET Software>

> Filters Unlimited 2.0 > Paper Textures >

Papyrus

Settings:

Default

Intensity = 66

Lightness = 96

 

35) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Your light color

 

36) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

37) Flood Fill Tool

Right click to fill with Gold Pattern

 

38) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

 

39) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 10

Color = Your dark color

 

40) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

41) Effects > Plugins >

Greg's Factory Output Vol.II >  Pool Shadow

 

42) Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

 

43) Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Your light color

 

44) Magic Wand Tool

Select border

 

45) Flood Fill Tool

Right click to fill with Gold Pattern

 

46) Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

 

47) Selections > Select None

 

48) Activate your gold corner

 

49) Edit > Copy

 

50) Activate your working image

 

51) Edit > Paste > Paste As New Layer

 

*Optional 

You may like to resize your corner to

your liking

 

52) Move Tool

Move your gold corner to the top left corner,

so that it's in a nice spot

 

53) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 1

Horizontal = 1

Opacity = 100

Blur = 1.00

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = Not checked

 

54) Effects > Plugins > Simple > Top Left Mirror

 

55) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

56) Add Watermark

 

57) Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

 

58) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer 

Settings: 

Compression value set at 20 - 25

 

*Note - Do not close header.

 

Background

 

*Note - Still working with your header image.

 

1) Selection Tool

Settings:

Selection type = Rectangle

Mode = Replace

Feather = 0

Anti-alias = Checked

Select the left part of your frame

 

2) Edit > Copy

You may close your Frame Image

 

3) Edit > Paste As New Image

 

4) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

Settings:

Edge = Checked

Vertical = Checked

Width = 50

Transition = 50

 

5) Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Lock aspect ratio = Not checked

Width = 1280 Pixels (or preferred size)

Height = Height of your image

Placement = Left middle arrow

 

6) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

7) Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

 

8) Flood Fill Tool

Fill this layer with a color of your choice

 

9) Effects > Plugins > <I.C.NET Software>

> Filters Unlimited 2.0 > Paper Textures >

Papyrus

 

10) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

 

11) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer 

 

All finished!! You're now ready to

assemble for Incredimail or Outlook

Express.
