Masked Papyrus SB

Written for PSP X2

 

Skill level: Intermediate

 

Plugins Needed:

Filters Unlimited - Available here

 

Supplies Needed:

1 Tube 

Mask13 - Available Here

 

Preparation:

Install plugins, if needed.

Unzip Mask

 

Performance Notes:

All settings will remain the same,

unless new or revised settings

are given.

  
 

 

Here is a arrow you can drag and drop when you

need to mark where you are. .
Just left click and drag to where you want it then let

go. It will stay where ever you put it, until you close

your browser.

 

Let's begin

 

1. File > Open

Open Mask13 and minimize

 

2.  File > Open

Open tube of choice.

 

3.  Window > Duplicate (Shift+D)

Close original

 

4. Image > Resize

Settings:

Resample using = Smart Size

Lock aspect ratio = Checked

Resize all layers = Checked

Width = No greater than 280 pixels

Height = No greater than 400 pixels

 

5. Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

 

6. Dropper Tool

Left click and select a light color

for your Foreground color.

Right click and select a very dark color

for your Background color.

 

7. Edit > Copy

  

8. File > New Image

Settings:

Width = 300 pixels

Height = 450 pixels

Raster Background = Checked

Transparent = Checked

  

9. Flood Fill Tool

 Settings: 

Match mode = None

Use all layers = Not Checked

Blend mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

Right click to fill with background

color

 

10. Effects > Plugins > I.C.NET Software >

Filters Unlimited 2.0 > Paper Textures >

Papyrus

Settings:

Intensity = 50

Lightness = 96

 

11. Layers > New Raster Layer

 

12. Flood Fill Tool

Left click to fill with foreground

color

 

13. Effects > Plugins > I.C.NET Software >

Filters Unlimited 2.0 > Paper Textures >

Papyrus

Settings:

Intensity = 50

 

14. Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image

Settings:

Source window = Mask13

Source luminance = Checked

Invert mask data = Not Checked

 

15. Layers > Merge > Merge Group

 

16. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

 

17. Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Width = 400 pixels

Height = 450 pixels

Placement = Left center arrow

 

18. Layers > Duplicate

 

19. Image > Free Rotate

Settings:

Right = Checked

Degrees = 25.00

All layers = Not Checked

Rotate single layer around canvas

center = Not Checked

 

20. Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

 

21. Layers > Duplicate

 

22. Image > Flip

 

23. Layers > Merge > Merge Down

 

24. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 0

Horizontal = 0

Opacity = 70

Blur = 8

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = Unchecked

 

25. Layers Palette

Activate the top layer

 

26. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

 

27. Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

Settings:

Edge = Selected

Vertical = Selected

Width (%) = 20

Transition (%) = 50

 

28. Edit > Paste As New Layer

(your tube)

*Note - The tube should still be on your

clipboard.  If not, activate your tube and

Edit > Copy, then proceed with Step 28.)

 

29. Move Tool

Move tube to desired position

 

30. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

Settings:

Bevel = Bevel # 2

Width = 10

Smoothness = 0

Depth = 3

Ambience = 10

Shininess = 0

Color = White

Angle = 315

Intensity = 30

Elevation = 50

 

31. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Change only this setting:

Opacity = 35

*Note - Don't add a drop shadow if using

a misted tube

 

*Optional

You may like to add some text

 

32. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

 

33. Image > Canvas Size

Settings: 

Width = 1800 pixels (or preferred width)

Height = 450 pixels

Lock aspect ratio = Unchecked

Placement = Left center arrow

 

34. Layers > New Raster Layer

 

35. Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

 

36. Flood Fill Tool

Left click to fill with foreground

color

 

37. Effects > Plugins > I.C.NET Software >

Filters Unlimited 2.0 > Paper Textures >

Papyrus

Settings:

Intensity = 50

 

38. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

 

39. Layers > New Raster Layer

 

40. Add your watermark

 

41. File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Settings:

Set compression value to 10-15,

or to your preferred compression

 

All finished !! You're now ready to

assemble for Incredimail or

Outlook Express.
