This tutorial is my own creation,

any resemblance to another

Written for PSP 9

 

Skill Level = Intermediate

  

Supplies Needed:  

A tube of your choice

  

Plugin - Xero (here) 

 

Preparation:

Install filter, if necessary.

 

Performance Notes: 

All settings will remain the same unless

new settings are given.

Don't forget to save your work often.

 

Here is a arrow you can drag and drop when you

need to mark where you are. .
Just left click and drag to where you want it then let

go. It will stay where ever you put it, until you close

your browser.

 

Let's begin :)

 

1) File > Open 

Open tube of choice

 

2) Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)

Close original

 

3) Image > Resize

Settings:

Resample using = Smart Size

Lock aspect ratio = Checked

Resize all layers = Checked

Width = No wider than 300 Pixels

Height = No higher than 350 Pixels

 

*Optional

Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

  

4) Dropper Tool (E)

Left click on your tube to pick a 

light color for your Foreground and

right click to pick a dark color for

your Background

 

5) Edit > Copy

 

6) File > New

Settings:

Width = 150 Pixels

Height = 400 Pixels

Raster Background = Checked

Transparent = Checked

 

7) Flood Fill Tool

Settings:

Match mode = None

Sample merged = Not checked

Blend mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

Right click to fill with Dark color

 

8) Selections > Select All

 

9) Edit > Paste > Paste Into Selection

 

10) Selections > Select None

 

11) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

Settings:

Default

 

12) Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Settings:

Radius 20.00

 

13) Effects > Texure Effects > Mosaic - Antique

Settings:

Number of columns = 50

Number of rows = 50

Symmetric = Checked

Tile diffusion = 70

Grout width = 2

Grout diffusion = 50

 

14) Effects > Plugins > xero > Fritillary

Settings:

Granularity = 10

Aggression = 255

Tesselation = 50

Variaion = 0

 

15) Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Width = 1280 Pixels (or preferred size)

Height = 400 Pixels

Lock aspect ratio = Not checked

Placement = Left middle arrow

 

16) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 1

Horizontal = 1

Opacity = 100

Blur = 10.00

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = Checked

 

17) Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling

Settings:

Edge = checked

Vertical = checked

Width = 50

Transition = 50

 

18) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

19) Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

 

20) Flood Fill Tool

Fill Bottom layer with your Light color

 

21) Effects > Plugins > xero > Fritillary

 

*Optional

22) Layers Palette

Lower the opacity to your liking

 

23) Activate your top layer

 

24) Edit > Paste > Paste As New Layer

Your tube

 

25) Move Tool

Move your tube all the way over to the left

 

26) Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Shadow on new layer = Not checked

*Note: Don't add drop shadow to a

misted tube. You may also wish to use

your own setting

 

*Optional

You may like to add Text and Inner bevel

if desired

 

27) Layers > New Raster Layer

 

28) Add Watermark

 

29) File > Export > JPEG Optimizer 

Settings: 

Compression value set at 20 - 25

 

All finished!! You're now ready to

assemble for Incredimail or Outlook
