All Grown Up

Beginners to Intermediate

Written for PSP 9

 

 

What you will need

 

Filters Unlimited 2.0

My Supplies Here 

or you can use your own graphic and tube.

 

 

Here is a arrow you can drag and drop when you need to mark where you are. .
Just left click and drag to where you want it then let go.
It will stay where ever you put it, until you close your browser.

 

 

Step1

 

Open my supplies in PSP or your own that you would like to use.

 

Choose a Light Colour for your foreground - I used #b5c6f1

and A Dark Colour for your background - I used  #163486

 

Open a New Transparent Image 500 w X 400 h

Choose your Selection Tool and use custom settings.

 

 

Selections / Invert.

 

 Now open Sky.jpg or the graphic your using and

Edit / Copy.

Now Back to the image we are working on and

Edit / Paste into Selection.

Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel

with the following.

 

 

Selections / Select None.

 

Step2

 

Effects 3D Effects / Drop Shadow

with the following.

 

 

 

 Image Canvas Size
550 width  X  500 height
Placement Centre
 
 
Layers / New Raster Layer.
Layers / Arrange / Send to the Bottom.
 
Step 3
 
Using your Flood fill tool,  Fill your bottom layer with your light colour.
 
Adjust / Add Remove Noise / Add Noise
with the following.
 
 
Step 4
 
Now click on your top layer to make it active.
Now open best friends tube or the tube of your choice
Edit / Copy.
 
Back to the image we are working on and
Edit / Paste as a new layer.
Move the tube down and to the left,
Look at my image for placement.
 
 
 
Step 5
 
Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow
and use the following.
 
 
Layers / Merge / Merge All Flatten
 
Step 6
 
Image / Add Borders - 7 in your Dark colour
(symmetric ticked)
 
Effects/ Plugins / Filters Unlimited 2 / Buttons & Frames / Glass Frame 1
 
 
Step 7
 
Open your Ribbon tube and Edit / Copy
Now back to your image and Edit / Paste as a New Layer
Move this to your top right corner
Look at my image for placement
 
 
You may wish to change the colour of your ribbon
If not then skip to step 8
 
Adjust / Hue & Saturation / Colourize
move the hue and saturation bars until you have a colour you like.
 
 
 Step 8
 
You can now add your own text.
I used Lucinda Handwriting font for all grown up text at the top of my image.
And I used Arial font for my verse at the side.
I create my text as a vector and then convert to a raster layer.
 
Add a inner bevel of your choice or I used
 
and a drop shaddow
 
Now it's time to add your watermark
Resize your image to your liking, but remember the smaller you resize the more distorted your image will become.
 
File / Export / Jpeg Optimizer
set compression to 25.
