About us

Aces United was formed by a group of students living in Sunnybank area (Brisbane South) in January 2006. The initial aim was to play Volleyball Queensland's Metro League throughout the year.

We are proud to be a multi-national team because our players have been coming from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Italy and Samoa. We bring up the Asian playing style with focus on speed and variety of attacks, and emphasis on defence and passing, which has differentiated us from the other local teams in Brisbane.

We will play different competitions throughout the whole year. You will never stop playing volleyball if you join us. The followings are the list of competition we usually play:

• Metro League (Runcorn, Brisbane): 3 seasons throughout the year on Monday nights
• Dragons Chalice Tournament (Brisbane): May Long Weekend
• Samoan Independence Day Tournament (Brisbane): June Long Weekend
• Good Neighbour Tournament (Canberra): November

We were the silver medalist of the Dragons Flaming Chalice Tournament (Men's Div 2) in 2006 and 2007. We have also won most of the metro league seasons since 2007.
