The criminal Gecko brothers Seth (George Clooney) and Richie (Quentin Tarantino) hit the road leaving behind a considerable amount of murders. With the police and FBI on their tails they set course to Mexico. Also on the way is the Fuller family in its motor home: Jacob (Harvey Keitel) and his two children Kate (Juliette Lewis) and Scott (Ernest Liu). The Geckos and the Fullers cross path with the result of the brothers taking the family hostage. Seeking shelter in a bad Mexican bar, they will eventually discover that most of its residents are not exactly what they seem to be.
