The Adventures of Robinhood begins with the King of England is being imprisoned by Leopold while he was coming back from his campaigns. This led to cruel Prince John (Claude Rains), brother of King Richard’s (Ian Hunter) coming to power who starts oppressing the citizens by raising taxes and exercising his control. The only hero who emerges out was Robin (Errol Flynn) who alone decides to meet Prince John at the castle of Sir Guy of Gisbourne (Basil Rathbone) and starts working against John’s oppressive rule. Escaping from England, the adventure of Robin begins when he lands at the Sherwood Forest. The little dwarfs of Sherwood forest led by little John (Alan Hale) initially surprised from the giant Robinhood soon became friends of Robin and teamed up with him to rescue King Richard. The movie ends on a happy note when Robin and his team saves England from the treacherous and scheming attempts of King John after a stunning action tale.
