I have always had a keen interest in natural therapies. But it wasn’t until I had finished a science degree and worked for many years in pathology that I decided to change directions. I started an Advanced diploma in Western Botanical Medicine. My eldest son developed eczema at a very young age, caused by multiple food and chemical sensitivities. I was able to apply my knowledge to help him. But it still did not resolve completely, and he still cried all through the night. I went in search of other modalities which would help him. In my search for knowledge to find the key to help his little body recover, my own intuitive abilities began to develop. My son has been a gift to me, and has been pivotal in my growth and transformation as a healer. I finished my Botanical diploma and opened my clinic in 2002. I had my second son and finally completed an Advanced diploma in Naturopathy.

Taking different paths to find ways to support my family in their health needs, has allowed me to incorporate those skills into my holistic approach to health. My boys are always teaching me new things about my self. As a perpetual student I embrace these learning opportunities to provide clarity and insight to my own issues.

In 2007 I returned to Chile to find my roots, and was joyfully welcomed and accepted with open arms. My maternal grandmother used many different herbs to treat the family, and had a cupboard full of leaves, flowers and roots; and my father had very strong healing abilities. Visiting the sacred sites in Peru connected me with my shamanic heritage. My South American trip helped to draw together different facets of me, that had been dormant. I felt whole.

To keep myself centred I go for a daily early morning 45 min walk before I take my kids to school. My walk takes me to a beautiful bush track, at the back of Mount Wellington, where I also meditate. I love hearing all the birds and seeing the occasional wallaby. I swim once a week, and salsa dancing also keeps me fit. I’ve been dancing since 2005, and love the music as it makes my heart soar, and connects me to my latin heritage. I sing and perform in an improvised harmonic jazz group called Mirage. I recently started learning Afro- Cuban drumming, my drum looks good, and inspires me, but I need lots of practice.

The way I work: Each client comes with their own unique story and so I treat each case, specific to their distinctive needs, on every level – mind, body and spirit. My passion for holistic health allows me to find ways to support myself, as I grow and change. I am grateful for the opportunity to assist and empower my clients on their transformational journey to wellness.
